We chose to do a Finite Elements Study (FEM) on our model to make sure it would be able to bear the weigh of snow in winter and optimize the size of the beams for example. We also made some topological optimization on some critical elements.
This work went through different steps : First, the creation of the CAD model, next the boundary conditions and loading, then the meshing of the model and finally the topological optimization for some of the pieces.
